Lucent cancelled my health insurance as of 5/31. As a widow (under 65) I foolishly thought I was safe. Any ideas on where to look for new coverage? I am already pounding the keyboard.
Update- After posting this I went back and reviewed the information provided to me. After my husband's passing they said I had three years of coverage at which point I'd no longer be covered (call it "widow brain"). Lucent lived up to their word and I was able to purchase insurance BECAUSE I had a cobra termination notice. Continuing fairness here, they did offer me indemnity insurance but who would want that if they have another choice?
