I take 3 prescriptions, and last year when I switched to the Medicare version of Medco, my prices shot up dramatically.
This year I did some research and found that I can get 3 months of my diabetes drug for $10 fom Wal*Mart, and 3 months of my cholesterol drug from Costco for $15. These are both generic drugs that Medco charges $30 for. Frankly, I can't see paying more just to get past the deductible more quickly.
Although it's not quite so convenient, I think the savings are worthwhile, and I recomment that you all price shop for your prescriptions. Both Costco and Wal*Mart provide prices online
