As most of you know our lives are pretty much in complete disarray due to the massive and ongoing earthquakes we have been enduring for the past twenty months here in New Zealand...
DH and I have been barely coping with evacuating three times, shifting house six, finally having our home condemned and going round in circles trying to get insurance and get a home again. Combined with a terrible sleeper of a toddler who is worryingly underweight and a business floundering......
Anyway, you get the picture; life has been grim to say the least.
Today I had coffee with one of the few women I know IRL who did IVF ( not even DE!) who told me the fertility clinic we both use , where our remaining four embies live, scrapped the eighteen month time limit for government funded FETs which I think means we would get an FET funded should we ever be into a position to do one....
We are not there yet but my heart did lift a little.... Surprisingly.
Probably entirely connected to Silvi sleeping all night till 5am for the first time EVER last night......wooooohoooo!

You've been through SO much -- every little bright spot means a lot, I'm sure! What an amazingly strong family you are building through all this turmoil (and possibly to be a larger family one day??? )

Great news!

That is good news Laura am very pleased for you. I think you are a very strong person living through and continuing to live in a quake zone. We had a quake here very recently. I thought of you when it was happening and thought how awful it was. Light.. Tunnel... Excellent, best thk

I am always amazed at your strength and courage and the grace with which you forge ahead in the midst of such rubble. I'm so glad you caught a bit of a break and I do pray that things will turn around for you, and soon. I think you and little Silvie often. I hope she starts gaining her weight and leeping through the night. hugs.

we're going to get through this. And even if we don't get to do an FET it is somehow encouraging to know that money won't have been what stopped us...does that make sense?
Thanks as always, for your kind words...

or did you feel it in Perth?
DH and I have been joking about shifting to Perth to drive buses if all else fails here and we find a way to leave! How's the employment situation over there?
We don't have a choice at the moment to leave, so not sure if strong covers it, but thanks for thinking so anyway.

Honestly, I'm sure you know what I mean when I say that I feel CRAZY on the amount of sleep I'm not getting; as if our situation weren't crazy enough already!
Thanks for you continuing support and kind words; the fact is we don't have much of a choice as far as staying goes; we have no money to go anywhere else....and grace and courage; well, you only see the tidy parts of my life at the moment; and there aren't that many of them, to be honest.
But thanks again...

and isn't it funny how a tiny bit of light can sometimes shine in enough for more to come to us...sleep. I hope that things do smooth out for you...family wise, business wise and spirit wise...you and your family have been through so much and deserve a break...keep moving towards the light at the end of the tunnel...it will keep you going on your darkest days.

Blessings from Hope
