Hi girls, just checking in . The bleeding has subsided but not gone. Mild cramps and a little blood this morning. It comes and goes. Sat. Will be 6 weeks. My 18 year old overheard my DH talking to me on the phone and she knows I'm pg. Not handling it well. Goes from "your both too old" " it's disgusting" " you""'re selfish, your not thinking of the kids" ( kids are 18-29 and two are married) to " promise me you wouldnt love the baby more then me"

Also said she wants to move out with in a month because she can not bear to watch the baby have two parents in the same home when she only had one!

I'll just keep loving her from a far. She's hurting! But it's hard.

I hope you get to see a little heartbeat today. And I hope your daughter feels better too. Wishing you well.

First, wishing you all the luck in the world for your first U/S. But I'm stunned about your 18-yo's reaction. What's it to her? My mom had me at almost 39, so there were definitely no new babies in the pipeline when I was 18 in the pre-ART world, but I would have thought that was so neat to have a new little brother or sister. If nothing else, I would have been so fascinated at the thought of my mother swelling up like a basketball and getting to see all the details of pregnancy and childbirth up close. {{Hugs}} Maggie (in VA)

This is I Believe's step-daughter who is 18. My 20 year old step-daughter was not totally overjoyed to find out I was pregnant either. She wanted to remain her daddy's only child. Also, she's pregnant herself so I think she was hoping the excitement would go towards her baby. She is ok with us having a baby now. She loves kids.

I Believe, I really hope your step daughter gets used to all of this soon. I can imagine how stressful this is for you as I know you really want a baby.

how much you love her. My 6 year old, also didn't handle the pg. well at first. I asked her what she wanted to name the babies and her response was "Poo Poo and Caa Caa." As she had time to think about it, she got very excited. Kind of reminds me of Father of the Bride 2...did you ever see it?

Kacee, I couldn't remember which movie it was where the mom and daughter were both pg. Glad to see you here and hope you and Jaden are doing well this evening.
