Hi everyone! I posted a while ago but have been in a holding pattern up until recently. We picked a donor, she quit the program (ARGH). We picked another donor and she is so great.

I've been on active bcps for almost two months now and that has sucked. I have had breakthrough bleeding for about two weeks. I quit taking the bcps this Friday. I started Lupron last night and am a TOTAL zombie right now and feel sort of nauseous and not hungry at all. Lupron is no joke! Next will come the estrogen pills, then the wonderful progesterone shots. Oh boy.

My first u/s and b/w appointment is on 11/3 - my birthday. The transfer will happen some time during the week of 11/13.

I'm so so so excited, but feeling so off is a little scary. I'm hoping I can make it through all of these side effects and still be somewhat sane. I also just weaned off of Zoloft. Just to give myself another challenge.

I've been lurking and reading here and there and appreciate you guys already.

Hoping for you!

Some people have no problems with the Lupron shots and others (like me) suffer horrible hot flashes, etc from them. Usually starting estrogen helps so hang in there!

You will feel better as soon as you start those estrogen pills. Lupron made me feel awful too. I used to take xanax for anxiety before I started this whole process. I was so nervous about that . But so far so good. Believe me, I do have my days. Especially going through this. Good luck.

Good Luck. We are cycling around the same time as I started my Lupron shots today and Estrogen patches on 10/30. Transfer is scheduled for 11/17 if all goes according to plan. Where are you cycling at? I am going to FIRM in Jacksonville.

Hi,
I wanted to say its funny how things turn out. You sort of choose a donor then something happens and someone different turns up.
I'm suprised they didn't put you on depot lucrin to 'sink' in with your donor. Its much easier on the body. I did the birth control thing for two plus months and truly it nearly sent me round the twist.
Good luck with this cycle. I hope its the one for you and yours.
We are all cheering you on!!!
Go for it
best, THK

Thanks! I'm cycling at a clinic called RHS in Pittsburgh, PA. I love it there. Good luck to you, too!! Let's keep each other posted about our progress since we're on the same timeline.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I wasn't supposed to be on bcps as long but the original donor quit so that delayed everything by a cycle. Man has it not been fun on the bcps. Can't WAIT to toss them aside for sure.
