What is selenium good for? Should I just add it to the rest of the vitamins I take? How much should I take?

It's supposed to be helpful for thyroid issues but can backfire if you take too much.

One interesting thing is that you can get A LOT of selenium from Brazil nuts. I get mine from that usually!

You should probably not supplement with it, esp if you are already taking a multivitamin. It can have negative impacts if you overdose. There is adequate amounts in all prenatals and multis.

PS I do take a supplement, but under the supervision of a naturopath and I am hashimotos hyptothyroid.
