Search for coupon codes before you submit your order at your favorite store. I have been looking for "leather" oxfords for my son for school at a good price. I found them at payless on sale for $19.99 which is a steal. I then found a coupon code for 20% off and got them for $15.99 at this price you know I ordered 2 pair one for now and the one for the next size up.

I never buy anything on line unless I find a coupon code for a discount or free shipping. These shoes can be shipped to the store so I don't pay shipping or taxes this weekend! Just a tip that I know some may overlook.

Don't always find a coupon code, but usually there's something.

retailme**not dot com (no asterisks). But just google whatever brand you are trying to find "xxxx promo code" and there are several other sites as well that will come up. I just keep trying sites/codes until one works . Never ever every pay full price, or shipping charges! The other thing you should do is sign up for upro*mise dot com - if you shop through links on their site (which include HUNDREDS of stores, including toys, appliances, clothing, etc etc etc), you get additional discounts you can't find elsewhere sometimes, AND up to 5% back into a college fund for G. Examples - bought our washer/dryer from Sears online, got %5 back into the fund. Most of the kids' clothes from oldnavy and childrensplace - I buy deeply discounted once the season starts - plus additional coupon codes for up to 30% off when you sign up for their emails and/or credit cards (just pay those off whenever you use them and there's no downside - just money off when you shop), and still get money back into a college fund for G. Makes buying clothes SO cheap, and it's awesome, we already have $1200 in that college account and I only started a few years ago - it'll be a nice chunk to supplement their college plans when they go. ((Hugs)),
Kenny

Where do you go to find a coupon code?

I go to the search bar and type in "Payless coupon codes", "wayfair coupon codes" "kohls coupon code", etc you get the picture. Lots and lots of sites with coupon codes for the store you are looking for comes up and I just sort through all the coupons until I find the best one.

I just bought a fleeced line parka and 2 shrugs (short sleeved jackets for dresses or sleevless outifts) the total was $74 including shipping. I found a coupon for 50% off 1st and 2nd item when you buy 3 items. My final price including shipping was $57 The coats original price was $49.99 by itself! I am with the other poster I never pay full price for anything. Between now and October is the time to buy next years summer clothes. I never ever pay more then $5 for a top or bottom for the kids. I bought nice shorts from Target for my son for $4, I bought pants for my daughter from Children's place for like $3 for next year and the year after at those prices. Walmart will soon have stuff for under $3 like $2.40 and $1. I buy lots and lots of things on Walmart clearance rack. Even if they don't have the kids sizes for this year or next. I will buy stuff for years from now and hang it up in the clostet sorted by sizes. My son wears size 8 I bought him size 12 and 14 summer shirts because they were under $5 at Kmart. My daughter who wears size 3T has clothes all the way up to 6X we are 2-3 years away from that. All of her beautiful dresses I never pay more then $10 for, I get them on mega clearance after the holiday such as Christmas and Easter. She oftens wears them 1 or 2 times and then I give them away. These are dresses from JCPenny or higher end stores.

I was never much of an online shopper until now, so I need to learn the tricks of the the trade.

Check www.camelcamelcamel.com if it is something you don't need right away and check price history. Sign up for an alert for a price you are willing to pay. The site will email you when the price drops down to what you want to pay.

I know we've discussed this before. I have realized I should probably keep a pair of backup sneakers for the boys as they are wearing theirs out so fast, and while they have Keens, too, their day care prefers them to wear closed-toe shoes b/c they have a gravel playground. I found a pair of name-brand, inexpensive sneakers for Freddy at Amazon (I have Prime, so free shipping), but our last trip to Stride Rite revealed that Bob wears an 8XW, and the cheapest pair I could find for him was $34 -- still $10 less than I paid at the store, but still . . . .

Anyway, I figure my best strategy is to haunt as many online shoe outlets as possible. Target and Walmart didn't pan out. Zulily just had a Stride Rite sale, but the sizes didn't seem to go up to 8. Any more suggestions?

Thanks,

Maggie (in VA)

I've been looking & looking -- any of you shoppers know who make them? Have some really adorable dress slacks that sell with an ad showing a leather belt but the maker doesn't actually HAVE leather belts for toddlers.
