3) the donor will stop bcp Jan 17 and will go to the clinic Jan 24. I like to prepare myself little bit early b/c I might have delay of getting period. Is the timing myself and the donor very close? What do you think about these time line.
I will have more questions, but let me get the answer for this now.
Thank you

although I know the instructions say take one bcp until told to stop. Very confusing instructions but on our protocols the recipient stops bcp 5 days before donor and starts estrogen on day 2 of period which is when your appointment would be. OMG your clinic is really bad at instructions. You have no option but to call and ask them.

Last BCP is taken on the 12th. That gives enough time to have period and go in for monitoring when they say for baseline.

Call to confirm that you do not take any more BCP after 1/12. Good luck!

Will that be enough time to coordinate with the donor? Thanks E&H, I will call tomorrow early in the morning. I don't have any break tomorrow, not even 5 minutes.

and she responded. She said to take my last on on the 12. the way you said it. Thank you, I appreciate your help.
One more question, and maybe I will have more. Can you tell the best unit to start the donor on? Like 200 iu Gonal f.... before they did it like 25 iu. I never ever ever heard of it. They said they will increase it to high dose. I was very very sad/ crying and I said 300 iu to start... and the doctor said yes .... I don't know if he was doing it just to shut me up or it is true. I asked another time before this question and I was told it is too much 300 iu. Can you tell me reasonable unit so that I will insiste on it.
Thank you

Stims usually are given in increments of 75 units: either 75, 150, 225, 300
(at least this is what I remember, each vial had 75 units of powder to mix)

Maybe the previous time they started the donor on 225 (not 25)?

Do you know what stims they are giving the donor?

I am sure last time the donor was 25 and then 50. Because I asked more than 3 times. Last time when the situation made me cry. The Re promised me he will do 300iu. So, before I speak to him/ the coordinator I want to know what is the usual dose.
Thanks
