Found out very unexpectedly today when they called with my genetics test results 3 days early! We're very excited, as DD has been asking for a baby sister for years. I'm so happy to be able to finally tell her, at 6, that she will get her wish.

I saved everything from DD (my basement is a cluttered mess), but I'm still going shopping at my earliest convenience. Yesterday I found Halloween costumes for 75% off, took the chance, and bought a cute pink & green baby butterfly costume before we even knew-- maybe that did the trick : )

So awesome! I'm super happy for you. Love that you bought something in pink before knowing. I had been gathering a small collection of boy things over the past couple years. Thank goodness I need the stuff now!

Can't wait to hear how it goes when you tell DD. I bet she is going to be so surprised and excited.

So exciting for you! I find out a week from tomorrow at my 19 week anatomy scan. Can't wait! I am hoping for, and suspecting a girl too from my early ultrasounds.

the exciting news that you are having another daughter. When our DD Grace was very small she started asking us for a sister...and when her brother Will arrived when she was 6 she was so gracious about the fact that her wish didn't come true....she loved him anyway. So when she found out that our twins (born when she was 8) were both girls she was beside herself with excitement....she even said, that her baby sisters were finally given to her because she loved, LOVED her baby brother and was grateful for him, never wishing he was a girl. That was an interesting insight for her....she LOVE loves her little sisters. What I have discovered after having 4 boys and 4 girls....it doesn't really matter what the gender is....we are souls first, living an earthly experience and the gender is just our biological path we choose....but from an ego side of things....it is really fun dressing up little girls....well and boys too. Enjoy the journey watching your daughters relationship bloom.

Now, you get to zone in on a name...oh my that is hard as there are so many beautiful names.

Blessings from Hope
