I spoke to our social worker today and she says no problem doing IUI with birth mom and then adopting when baby is born. So now I am looking for a gynae. Not going the fertility specialist route as birth mom has had 4 children already with no problems. Will keep you updated. Getting excited now.

I hate to be a wet blanket and all but you should probably get birth mom some counseling and all that first.

You are probably already doing this.

Very exciting though. Looks like it's going to work out!

as she has had to place 3 children and managed to keep one. She knows what she is getting herself into.

I guess it would just be a safety measure. But you know her better than I.

I am a little skeptical about counseling in these situations anyway.
