So my first DE cycle has been delayed because my CD1 after the mock eep cycle never came. I am now on Provera and should take the last of five pills tomorrow. My cycle should then begin 5-7 days after the last pill. That would be between October 20 - 22. Then I start BCP on CD3 and at some point I start Lupron. (I am not sure how long I am on Lupron.) I was told that my donor "is all ready to go" and I am assuming that means she is on BCP and is awaiting my CD1 to schedule the start for her stim cycle.

So in addition to the Lupron question above, I have a few schedule questions and no one at the clinic is willing to give me a guess-timate except to say that they don't know anything until I get my CD1. I am trying to estimate when the retrieval will be if I assume I get CD1 at the end of next week. I understand all too well about the variability in the duration of the donor's stim cycle but surely some one can tell me if this will happen in November or December (or next year). If the donor has to suppress first with Lupron during a cycle then start stimming the following cycle it could be a couple of months. If they are doing an antagonist protocol then they could probably just pull stop her BCP and she could begin stimming in line with the start of my BCP which could mean a transfer at the end of November. Blerg - I am so confused!

I put it to you all - how long does it take to get to transfer from the start of BCPs and/or Lupron?

Thanks in advanced for any advice!

Sorry to see AF is MIA just when you want it to arrive. If a remember correctly the cycle before transfer I started BCP's and then added lupron toward the end of the cycle and a couple of days into the next cycle. So I think retrieval and transfer was about six weeks after I started the BCP's. Good luck to you! Keep us posted. I'm sorry for the delay...the waiting is the worst.

I am doing this cycle at Shady Grove but I am OOT. My home RE did the blood work and US during the mock eep and faxed the results to SG. The SG nurse did not understand the units that were used to report the p4 and didn't look at page 2 of the blood work where they stated the reference values. Misinterpreting the lab report, she told the the SG RE that I had ovulated through the estrogen and that I should not take progesterone because I would get AF naturally. This went on through three more blood tests and US all on my dime and delayed me by at least 4 weeks. Finally I asked the doctor to look at the units and reference values one more time and asked if there could be a mistake. When he did, he realized that my clinic reports in ng/dl not in the units they are accustomed to so I had not ovulated and was basically in limbo for 6 weeks for no reason!

I have asked if the donor is still on board - and supposedly she is - but now they are not answering my questions about the timing etc.

And now I think I have to cancel a bunch of stuff and hang in limbo with family and work commitments indefinitely.

Sorry for the long post. I am just aggravated.

They told me I would need to take the BCP for at least two weeks... then I start Lupron Oct 17. Tentative transfer window is November 17-24.

Hope that gives you some insight. Also - there are lots of sample calendars on the internet... like this one: http://www.advancedfertility.com/sample ... rdonor.htm

So sorry you are delayed even more because of their error. They should be more careful. Sometimes I wonder if they have any clue about the cost of OOT monitoring. I'm hoping to be able to get my gyn to do the monitoring b/c I trust them more than the " factory work" that happens at the clinic and I could ask them to send the results to me too. GL and keep me posted.

Thanks! It seems like the 6 week or greater time frame is reasonable. I am trying to figure out if I should cancel a bunch of plans we have for the end of November - both work and personal. Both issues are expensive if we have to cancel at the last minute.
