Hemorrhoids?

Ow!

Any advice?

I have wheat sensitivity, so I went on my gluten free diet. I feel great -- no eczema, no diarrhea. I have been eating well, with lots of fruits and veggies...Was planning to get back into my old workout today, but instead I am stuck lying here, prone, with an awful hemorrhoid - not even sure how or why it happened. It's the size of a pea.

The only thing I can think is that I stood for a long time in high heels and tight pants when we went out the other night?

Any suggestions? I have been taking sitz baths and doing witch hazel cotton pad pats.

When will it go away?

....(you're not anon)

but don't be shy... you're not the only one. here, i'll shout it to the world:

COTTON GETS HEMORROIDS TOO AND THEY SUCKKKKK !!!!!!!

i do less then you do to get rid of them. so i think you're doing the right thing... get some fiber into you. mine usually go down within a few days. exercise definitely makes them worse, unfortunately.

sorry you're suffering, but i like that you're out on the town in your tight pants and high heels - hot stuff

I found the cutest, tightest pants on sale for nothing, and poured myself into them with high heels to look "hot" on a concert date. Bad idea! Standing for two hours on those heels in those pants nearly killed me. But I didn't think I'd get a hemorrhoid as well!

I am sort of hoping I will never fit those pants again in a few weeks...

Well you are not alone. I had to call my OB and get advice. I was told to start taking two fibercon pills every day with at least 8 glasses of water every day. The more water the better. And miralax is good too to soften the stool. And taking baths. And eat tons of fruits, vegetables and prune juice.

I was prescribed proctofoam to use for a few weeks. It's just ok and it is expensive. It contains hydrocortisone. I would save the money and just use hydrocortisone cream for a short while. Only use it for like a week as it damages your skin if you use it too long. And I was told to use tucks pads which contain whitch hazel.

It took like two weeks to completely go away and was quite painful for a few days. I think I have wheat sensitivity too and I think that contributed to or triggered the problem. Along with the pressure on my digestive system from being 30 weeks pregnant. It's a really common discomfort of pregnancy. .

Hopefully it will start to go away soon for you.

The mere thought of standing for a few hours scares my poor bottom. So if you wear the pants and your high heels just lounge around
