Hi ladies,
I am loving the comraderie and the information I am learning in receiving the posts. However there are quite a few incidents of acronyms that I do not understand. Can anyone give me a clue of where I get definitions or the codes????
Maybe I missed these from that awesome list posted above, but here are a few more that are especially near and dear to my heart right now:

2ww = 2 week wait (time between egg retrieval/ovulation and first "official" pregnancy test)
beta = the quantitative test for the hcg hormone
POAS = pee on a stick (i.e. home pregnancy test)
BFP = big fat positive
BFN = big fat negative

Things like 5dp5dt mean "five days post five day transfer". In other words, the first part refers to how many days post transfer you are and the second part refers to what type of transfer it was (5 day blast or 3 day).

Welcome to the board!

I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to decipher the messages on this board at first! I found a glossary, which pp's have thoughtfully provided you, and pasted it into a text file and just kept it open when I pulled up the page. After a few weeks, I had to refer to it less and less. Take care! Maggie (in VA)
