Hi to All - glad to see so much success on this board! We just had our first transfers using DE - with 2 previous ivf with OE. We had 2 perfect embryos this time but both my primary doctor and the doctor on call highly stressed transferring only one. I guess I am just stressing because with previous cycles we have transferred 3 and 4. I know it is a quality thing but have many people on the board had success with a day 5 single embryo tranfer? As always, thanks for the support and advice!

That was the original plan for us,too. If it looked like we wouldhave at least one "excellent" blastocyst they would have transferred only one.

As it turned out, they didn't feel like that was going to happen ):

So they transferred one "good" 3day embryo and 1 "fair" 3day embryo. They told me the odds are better they way you did it. But ultimately, they should always let you decide.

Blessings and the best of luck to you!

Hi bbhoover,

We did the same as you, thanks to our RE's strong recommendation: transferred one "grade A" blast on day 5. I am 11 weeks today. Good luck and lots of baby dust to you!

sounds great Jen - I was wondering if we made a poor choice. We do have 2 frozen but I would like to not have to go through this again. I feel that the injections with a donor egg ivf are far worse than the cycles I did with my own eggs. Best of luck to all. Not that I am going to have the nerve to do it but, when would be the earliest I could do a HPT?

I only transferred one blast on day 5 and had success! Best of luck to you, sounds very promising!! I started the pee sticks 4 days after transfer (9dpo) but didn't get a positive until 12dpo. Hang in there.

So happy to hear you had a perfect blast to transfer. Wishing you a quick 2 WW. I can't weigh in on the hpt b/c I've waited until the day before beta...I was too chicken and wanted to enjoy being PUPO. I did the hpt the day before my beta last time to prepare myself for a bfn and was pleasantly surprised to see a bfp. GL and sticky vibes!!
