I had the mammogram and the ultrasound done today, and they said that everything was fine. It was probably a blocked milk duct, and that I can make an appt to see the breast care specialist to help determine what I am feeling, etc., but they didn't see anything on the mammogram or the u/s and they didn't think anything was there. I had tried to stay calm, but by the time I started driving over to the appt, I was ready to bust and called a dear friend who was able to keep me calm. Oh, I was so relieved when the doctor came in and said they couldn't see anything.

And tomorrow my GC is going in for her first u/s. They are going to call me. Oh, I hope we get to hear the heartbeat. I think I am going to try to record it. I just love that woosh woosh sound.

if you're anything like me, i can just imagine the thought process: please please don't let anything be wrong now that so much is right! right? what a relief.

can't wait to read about your baby's u/s. today i heard the h/b and i recorded it. so cool to have. i'm going to record some of the 20 wk u/s as well! i didn't have a good recording device when i was preg with the ball, so it's fun to be able to do this now.

So glad to hear that everything checked out just fine. What a relief, I am sure!

I'm going to be traveling for the next few days so may not have much if any online time, but just wanted to wish you good luck tomorrow. Hope you hear a good, strong heartbeat. (I'm sure you will!) Enjoy!

And cotton, you are exactly right. By this morning, my imagination was really running away with me and I was almost getting mad at myself for getting too happy and excited that something was going right. Just kicking myself, as if that was going to force it all caving in. Isn't that ridiculous what IF has done to me. I hope that one day I can get over it and can just enjoy my happiness fully and completely, and without such caution.

And, tonight my GC called me to make sure I knew when the appt was. Oh, she is really an amazing young woman. I am just so impressed with her, and feel so lucky to have her as my surrogate. It's is hard to not be able to carry yourself, but it is so helpful to have a surrogate that you just really click with, if you have to have one. It definitely helps and makes me grateful to even have this option.

I went through this, but they had me do three biopsies in addition to a second mammo and the u/s!
I do not think I will ever be the same from that whole thing. It really changed me.

So glad you got the good news it is the best to hear that. I cried.
