Can anyone share a sample FET calendar without BCPs?

Hi,
We're heading into an FET without BCPs. How long does this take? Does anyone here have a sample calendar?

We previously did one with BCPs and Lupron, but it feels like it took FOREVER.

Thanks!

-normal period starts, go in for b/w and u/s on CD2

-take oral and vaginal estrace on CD2 - CD15

-have a lining check on CD 15, start progesterone CD 16, 3-day transfer CD 19

really fast (18 days start to finish) and inexpensive (2 monitoring appts total, inexpensive meds)

the thinking is that the estrace alone can keep the ovaries from developing any follicles and "ruining" the cycle (cancelling without thawing embryos, which isn't the end of the world).

Some women even do this type of protocol for fresh, but my clinic does use lupron for fresh when synching with a donor, just not for FET. I have had a past successful FET done this way and didn't have any problems getting suppressed.

Hi,
Just called my RE's office to better understand the different FET protocols. I won't be doing BCP's, but it sounds like otherwise, one of the protocols is exactly the same just minus the BCPs:
1. Come in on day
2. OPKs to detect surge
3. Lupron for 7 days
4. Patches

The other option sounds shorter: start oral estrace on day 2 and that's it, but the nurse said she would find out which is better given that I have lining issues.

Do you know if lining issues would prevent me from trying the shorter protocol?

They also mentioned viagra, so I don't know if that would work with either protocol or just the longer one.

Thanks!

and the thing is, even without lupron (just estrogen) they can keep you on that for as long as you need, to build a lining - it can be 2w, or 3w, or somewhere in between, before starting progesterone. You have plenty of flexibility I think. As long as you are absorbing enough estrogen, that will suppress ovulation and give you time to build a nice lining. Viagra might help with either protocol. It's kind of hit or miss to find what works best with each of our bodies, but that's the great thing about FETs - so much less stress, worst case, cancel and try something else, without having thawed embies. GL! Best,
Kenny

It's so helpful to get the personal experiences here... our RE's are good, but don't know everything, that's for sure.

Thanks again!
