This is from one of my favorite bloggers... I thought some of you might appreciate it.

"Mothering is a choice we make, like loving is a choice. We do not need to have given birth or to have signed adoption papers to Mother. To Mother, to me, means to nurture. To heal, to help grow, to give. And so anyone and everyone who is involved in the healing of the world is a Mother. Anyone who tends to a child, or friend, or stranger, or animal or garden is a Mother. Anyone who tends to Life is a Mother. (Today) is a celebration of all the healers and hopers and lovers and givers and tend-ers."

I can say, without a doubt, that every one of us on this board fits this definition in some way. I hope you're all having a good day, even though I know it's tough.

I love the late Pope John Paul II so much. He wrote beautifully and at great length about how all women are mothers in many different ways and what a gift we all are to the world...

It is like Mothering Day that is celebrated in the UK. More about nurturing in general, which I love.
