Does anyone know of a close dress pattern to either of these dresses?

I am sure there has to be something out there???

This girl seemed to get the process down pretty nicely: http://25dollarvintage.blogspot.com/2010/1...sica-dress.html

Thanks in advance!

Phillip7 thanks for the link to the Jessica dress. I just wish she had made the belt as well. :D

Phillip,

Unfortunately, I haven't seen too many costume patterns in my travels. Mostly only links, like the one you had provided to people 'winging it'. Nancy seems to have done a nice job on hers.

I do know that Katarra Creations did some Sandmen uniforms awhile back, but I'm not sure if they are still around or do them anymore. Haven't had much requests for that sort of thing in awhile.

If anyone does find some, though, please post. They would be great to share!

Katarra made one for my rather Jessica-6-like wife (then girlfriend) 3 years ago. Fit- and design-wise, it's quite good. The color is a bit off (a tad too much yellow in the green), & the belt was gold instead of silver (so we painted it). The main problem was that it arrived last-SECOND for our purposes -- a con that we'd mentioned to Katarra many, many times -- by overnight mail, after months & months of waiting & checking in (&, finally, haranguing / threatening-of-legal-action). And of course, said vendor had our $$ the whole time. Katarra does fine work, but she appears to be in a state of permanent mega-backlog. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

Roger that PaulX...

My neighbour, as it turns out, is a fantastic seamstress and has taken enough of an interest in it to do it for me as long as I buy the material. Can't beat that!!

Mary, in regards to the belt I figured it out
It takes 3 x 2.5" solid rings.
I cut a small channel for the middle one to fit the 2 solid ones into
i took a 1/4" piece of light aluminum and bent it around the central ring (with the notch in it)
slide a solid ring onto either side of the new center bar
bend the other end to cover the cut notch to lock it in place
the belt is threaded into place through the loops
My solution would be to velcro it in the back
Can put up pictures if you want them
