I have found a record of an ancestor by the name of Mikolas.
I am wondering if this is the same person my grandmother used to refer to as Mikey...and guessing it's the Lithuanian equivalent of Michael?

Thanks for any help.

On Network 54 site at top of page is home for LGGS (Lithuanian Global Genealogical Society) site.

On this site is a links for LGGS. Click on this and scroll down to Lituanian Russian, Polish and Latin counterparts. Under Nicholas is a Lithuanian spelling of Mykolas. This site hasn't a counterpart for Michael.

We had a Motiejus who went by Mike in the US and a Tadas who went by Ted.
