Not too sure what to make of him yet. We know little of most of the players outside of the English leagues really, apart from that they're usually a fraction of the price than what they would be if we bought them/him from a British club. I saw a YouTube compilation of the lad & it made him look ok, but then good editing could make anyone look good, well, with the exception of Thomas Brolin..!
What has pissed me off though is the amount of moaning cunts who want to spend the Wood money as if it's burning a hole in their pocket & are already slagging off the current regime for being prudent. I'm glad to see we've not been held to ransom
over it as yet & been charged a fortune for some 2 bit player. I think it's wise to hold the money at the minute & use it wisely in Jan if needed, but that's obviously just my opinion.

Agreed, think we're ok for numbers now especially when Penningtons fit again, save the wood money for January if we're in a decent position...hope the new lads have come under the radar like most of our signings....reasons to be cheerful part 1....

Save the Wood money for January lol! I think the Wood money has been spent. Did some good business in the window, but it's clear why Gary Monk left, got to sell to spend

Think monk left 'cos he new he didn't have it in him to make a team promotion candidates and wanted to ride the coattails of a team that was already promotion candidates.

Monk wanted a longer deal and wanted to sign his own players rather than working under a continental structure of a DOF (Orta) signing the players and a coach being handed them to coach. That is why we signed Sackho when we did not have a coach in place. As an 'old fashioned' english manager Steve gibson must be a dream to work for as he truly puts his money where his mouth is time and time again even though over the years Boro have signed some right over priced shite.

He mainly left because he didn't think he could get the club promoted without spending anything and he was told he must sell to buy

Monk would have stayed if he was allowed to spend the money that came in during the window. It's not fair to say he wanted the club to invest in the window, he just wanted to spend the income on improving the team and the club wanted to raise 5m. Also didn't want to wait till after season tickets etc. had been sold before announcing the Wood sale
