I asked Acc if he could help me with an issue in radiant. When compiling light you see missing xxx.wal
So he spent a good part of his night to add some additional features to his image to .wal converter.
It now can work with the file names listed inside a bsp file.
So every time you compile your map. It looks for any missing .wal files used in the bsp and creates them. AUTOMATICLY :)
Extract to you Kingpin folder. Open kpradaint and set preference path to kingpin.exe. load project(qe4) from file menu.
You should be set to compile maps with included new fixes. (qe4 for kingpin/main game)
My fixed file. Includes Acc utility, lowercase bsp fix and new qe4 file
Acc's command line utility(included above)
Let me know if there is any issues. qe4 compile suggestions. etc..
You might wish to re-download the file (0.5c): this thing wasn't meant to support absolute paths, and it generates truncated paths when used with relative paths. I think I fixed it; the program really needs to be rewritten from scratch, possibly using the appropriate colormap.pcx instead of .act files too (and maybe skip the conversion of SKY textures)
EDIT: I got confused because I thought you expected img2wal to also make texture names lowercase, but after reading the project file, I realized it was "qbsp3_tex2"'s job... but it's not in the archive?
