Mathematically no not quite but they need a HUGE amount of help to make it into the playoffs.

At 46 points and 10 games remaining, the Hitmen can get a maximum of 66 points if they won all 10 games.

Currently the 2nd wild card spot is a tie between Saskatoon and Prince Albert at 65 points. So two more points by either one of those teams or two lost points by the Hitmen eliminates the Hitmen from getting a wild card spot. I think we can all agree that this will happen soon since we're not going to win all our games, nor are the Blades/Raiders going to lose all theirs in regulation.

So the only potential way to make the playoffs for the Hitmen is to catch Red Deer for 3rd in the Central, which will require less points than a wild card spot will. The Rebels currently have 59 points and only have 8 games left, so the Hitmen need to get 14 more points from their last ten games than the Rebels get from their last 8 games.

Just getting 14 points will require the Hitmen to play .700 hockey the rest of the way, to say nothing of what points the Rebels might get. So this is not very realistic either although I guess not impossible.

If you want to count it down, the magic number for Hitmen elimination is 4 Hitmen regulation losses (OT/SO losses count as a half) or Rebels wins.
