In the aftermath of the murder, a cascade of misinformation and lies from the very top down. From Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair to the trigger-happy plain-clothes shooters identified only as "carrying a long-barrelled weapon", the actions that day have been exposed as a cover-up of the events that resulted in the extra-judicial execution of an innocent man.

A trailer for a short film called The 8th Bullet, by Marcello Paganini:
Description:  Trailer of the experimental documentary short movie THE 8TH BULLET shot by Marcelo Paganini about the killing of Jean Charles de Menezes by the British police in Stockwell (London/UK) July the 22nd 2005... Who will ever wipe my tear? Should I ask William Shakespeare? It is rudymentary my dear Washington... Sherlock, can you send the troops back to their homes? It was around 11 am in Paris and Marcelo Paganini was inside the train for his first trip ever to London... At the same time it was around 10 am in London, and Jean Charles de Menezes was inside the Stockwell Tube Station in London... Two brazilian guys inside a train at the same time, but one of them had 7 shots in the head and one in the shoulder... The surviving guy arrives in London and tries to understand why... This experimental documentary is dedicated to Jean Charles de Menezes and Sérgio Vieira de Mello, brazilian victms of the Iraq war... Genres: Alternative, Underground, Thriller, Musical, Crime, Human Rights, Independent, War/Peace, Urban, Docu-Drama... Being shocked is not enough to make a short movie... You need to find a way to put it in images, sounds and words... With this experimental documentary my goal was to break the barriers between narration, rap and singing, melted with the words and phrases found in London's subway and streets to try to make a sense out of this tragedy... The world is going insane once again and for mt first trip to London it was either pretend that nothing has changed in my life and keep dvcaming my holidays and never be able to look at my own face in a mirror again, or to shot this movie and try to find some hope in the middle of complete human craziness... "The 8th Bullet" was shot without permission on the spot in London from July the 22nd (the day Jean Charles de Menezes was killed) to the 25th 2005... Permission was refused after the fact from different parts involved... The film was partially re-wrote, re-shot and re-edited to avoid as much as possible any legal trouble but trying to remain as close as possible to the original version... Peter Bleksley - Media and Public Speaking
Recent Media Roles

Peter Bleksley’s unique insight and vast knowledge of crime and policing and the way that they impact upon society, means that he is often called upon by various media outlets.

Most recently he has commented upon the police shooting of a young muslim man during a flawed counter-terrorism raid in Lansdown Road, Forest Gate, London. Peter's expert insight, views and opinions have been heard around the world through different broadcasters who have been keen to employ him.

Prior to this, Peter had an article published in 'The Voice' Newspaper, where he gave details of the shameful police practises commonly used in the months leading up to the Brixton Riots of 1981. He subsequently appeared on ITV's London Tonight, and BBC 1's Breakfast programme to comment further

Other recent matters upon which he has broadcast include the launch of SOCA, (The Serious and Organised Crime Agency), the armed robbery at the Securitas depot in Tonbridge, Kent, where £53 million pounds was stolen, the alleged plot to kidnap Leo Blair, the youngest child of Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, and the shooting dead by police of the Brazilian man, Jean Charles De Menezes.

In December 2005, BBC Radio Five Live employed Peter to travel to Nairn in Scotland, where together with a senior reporter, James Shaw, he researched the unsolved murder of banker Alistair Wilson. A father of two young children, Wilson had been shot dead on his doorstep one Sunday night, in a crime that has so far baffled police. As well as meeting the Senior Investigating Officer in charge of the investigation, Bleksley also spoke to many witnesses and made some startling new discoveries.

In January 2006, The Daily Mirror employed Peter to revisit the village of Furneux Pelham in Hertfordshire, in order to comment upon the unsolved murder of retired Lt Col Robert ‘Riley’ Workman. His findings were widely reported, and Peter’s work on this crime is very much ongoing, and he is hopeful his efforts may contribute to Riley’s killer being brought to justice.

Previous media contributions

The list of programmes and Newspapers that Peter has contributed to is exhaustive, but here are a few of those who have called upon his expertise;

    * The BBC World Service

    * The James Whale show on Talksport Radio
    * ITV's London Tonight
    * Channel Five News

    * Master Detective Magazine
    * The Voice Newspaper
    * The Gloria Hunniford Show
    * The Sunday Express
    * The Sunday Mail
    * The Nicky Campbell show, the Victoria Derbyshire show and the Simon Mayo show, all on Radio Five live.

Public Speaking

Peter is also a renowned public speaker. His talks usually consist of a fifty minute session where he regales the audience with recollections of his astonishing career as an undercover detective, followed by a short break and a further session where he concentrates on his current work into unsolved murders, and his media experiences.

A question and answer forum ends the show where it’s definitely ‘No holds barred’! Peter speaks to a wide range of audiences varying from schools to private functions, and they all enjoy the humour Peter injects into his speaking. To enquire about booking Peter for a speaking engagement, please see the contact page.

Peter has recently made public his findings into the shooting dead by police of the brazilian man, Jean Charles de Menezes. He delivered his unique presentation to captivated theatre audiences in both London and Dublin.

More on Peter Bleksley's talk:
I'll tell you how Jean Charles died at tube
May 9 2006

A FORMER undercover cop is promising to reveal what really happened in the the shooting of Jean Charles De Menezes at Stockwell Tube.

Cop turned author Peter Bleksley, whose latest book, Ten Most Wanted, examines unsolved murders, is speaking at the Landor Theatre, 70 Landor Road, in Clapham, tomorrow.

Mr Bleksley said he had spent six months researching the case. "I was a police marksman for 15 years and I know my stuff," he said. "I feel I have an obligation to pass on my unique insight and I feel very strongly about this case."

Brazilian Mr de Menezes was shot on the morning of Friday, July 22, 2005 - the day after four men allegedly tried to detonate rucksacks stuffed with explosives on London's transport system.

Officers had followed Mr de Menezes from an address in Scotia Road, Tulse Hill.

The Independent Police Complaints' Commission has launched its own inquiry into his death and has not ruled out the possibility officers will face criminal charges.

Its report is expected to be published this year.

An Evening With Peter Bleksley at the Landor Theatre starts at 8pm.

For tickets, costing £8 or £6 for concessions, call 020 7737 7276.
