Back in July, when the story of the terror rehearsal broke, I asked on my blog who else was based in Tavistock Square and who might have been responsible for organising such a thing. The answer came back pretty quickly in the form of anonymous comment that pointed at Fortress GB and ICTS.

I think these two companies need a little more researching as even a cursory dig around the Internet turfs out interesting little snippets of information like, for example, the MD and founder of Fortress GB just happened to be the CEO and Managing Director of ICTS (UK). Both firms are located in Lynton house, Tavistock Square, not terribly far from the site of the bus explosion.

Mr Vago also obtained his Computer Science degree from those nice people at the University of Maryland, Virginia:

Harking back to the statement given by Beverli at the 7 July Review Committee meeting of 23 March 2006. Beverli's statement referred to a meeting at her company's headquarters in Tavistock Square, called the night before 7/7 after news of the Olympic bid win broke, and she called the police anonymously to advise them that the bus explosion might have had something to do with her meeting that morning as the meeting room was about level with the top of the number 30 bus. The top of the bus is where the alleged suicide bomber is alleged to have been, something which seems to make little sense if the intention was to cause as much damage and devastation as possible. If the meeting room was the target and the meeting room was about the same level of the top of the bus, then maybe there is some connection between these two bits of information.

Olympics mean tickets and smartcards are the new tickets and what with all the terrorists running around there's got to be some money to be made out of smart cards for the Olympics, maybe cards that link up with the expanding Oyster infrastructure and passport databases:

BTW, the DWP also have an office Tavistock Square and outsource their Incapacity Benefits assessments Atos Origin who seem to have many fingers in many pies, including the Dutch military, uk passports. Fortress GB share the floor of a building with ICTS in Tavistock Square.

ICTS CORPORATE SCANDAL

ICTS International N. V. (NASDAQ: ICTS), a leading provider of advanced aviation services, today reported that on Sunday, May 25, 2003, Mr. Ezra Harel, the Chairman of ICTS International N.V. was detained and subsequently released on bail in Israel by the investigative authorities of the Israeli Securities Authority in connection with a criminal investigation under Israeli law involving an unrelated company in which Mr. Harel was a former director and controlling shareholder.

Mr. Menachem Atzmon, a director of ICTS International N.V. was also detained and subsequently released on bail in the same matter. Mr. Atzmon may be deemed a former controlling shareholder of the unrelated company. The substance of the Israeli Securities Authority's questioning of Mr. Harel and Mr. Atzmon is not known, since a gag order is in effect in connection with the investigation.

Mr. Lior Zouker, the President of ICTS stated that "ICTS has no indication that the investigation involves ICTS."

ICTS's MENACHEM ATZMON & LIKUD VOTING FRAUD IN ISRAEL

Atzmon and his business partner Ezra Harel are the majority owners (57%) of ICTS?International Consultants on Targeted Security, run by "former [Israeli] military commanding officers and veterans of government intelligence and security agencies" according its Web site. In 1999, Atzmon's Netherlands-based firm took over management of security at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, through ICTS' subsidiary Huntleigh USA.

Israeli plutocrat Menachem Atzmon was co-treasurer of the Likud, along with Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert, during and after the 1988 Israeli elections. In August 1988, Atzmon worked with Olmert and two other men to collect illegal contributions for the Likud from corporations, against Israel's party funding law, by providing fictitious advertising services to the contributors. Atzmon was later convicted in that campaign finance fraud, while Olmert was acquitted.

This convicted Likud criminal's firm was in charge of security at Logan Airport?inspecting the validity of passports and visas, searching cargo, screening passengers?when two airliners were hijacked from there on Sept. 11, 2001, and demolished the World Trade Center towers in New York.

12/31/2001 Debka, Israel: "The shoe bomb case has also sent ripples through US-Israeli relations. DEBKAfile?s sources report the angry tone taken by US officials with Israeli security officers and Sharon himself over the Reid affair. They believe Israeli intelligence services knew six months ago about Reid?s suspected involvement in terrorist activities as well as the real purpose of his Gaza visit ? but said nothing. Had Israel spoken up, or at least dropped some hint about Reid, he never would have been allowed to board the American Airlines plane. Washington would have tipped off French authorities, which would have picked Reid up immediately on his arrival in Paris. To make the situation worse, a private security company called ICTS, owned by an Israeli, Ezra Harel, and registered in the Netherlands, was employed at Charles de Gaulle airport to screen passengers boarding US planes. Most of its personnel are ex-Shin Bet officers. The company covers security at Boston?s Logan airport, where the American Airlines plane came down after flight attendants and passengers overpowered Reid. The Americans believe someone at ICTS must have known that Reid planned to take that flight and passed it on to Israel, which withheld information that could have prevented a major air disaster. The Israeli response to US allegations is no less harsh. They admit letting Reid board an El Al flight from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv in July, although an armed sky marshal was ordered to sit next to him. This was a calculated risk in order to find out who Reid?s contacts were in Israel and the Palestinian territories and the only way to cover his movements effectively."

ICTS & US AIRPORT SECURITY

On the foreign front, journalists like Globe-Intel's Thomas laid the groundwork for a future expose of Israeli complicity. An example of the subtlety of this effort: in his May 21, 2002 piece on the Israeli spy ring, Thomas mentioned that the Mossad sent its agents trailing the hijackers to New York, Florida, and?very significantly?the Netherlands (in particular, to the Schipol Airport). Whether Thomas here was a witting or unwitting agent of disinformation cannot be ascertained, but clearly somebody knew the crucial importance of including the Netherlands on the Mossad infiltration itinerary?for it was an Israeli-founded company, ICTS, which, through its subsidiary, Huntleigh, handled passenger screening for one of the airliners out of Boston's Logan Airport on September 11. And, as it so happened, ICTS was based out of the Netherlands. As we shall see, the security companies would theoretically be the ideal operative agents for ensuring that the September 11 "op" would go off without a hitch. Thus, an Israeli connection on this front would be a key factor in a counter-legend placing the State of Israel?as opposed to individual Jews and/or Israeli operatives?front and center as the main perpetrator of 9/11.

ICTS in 2002 Belfast airport security staff sacking scandal:
Support Sacked Belfast Airport Strikers

We are appealing for messages of support and financial backing for 24 airport security staff in Belfast who have been sacked for striking against the low pay and poor conditions imposed upon them by the management of ICTS UK Ltd. Notably the workers sacked were prominent union activists, including two key shop stewards. One worker was even told by management that he was being sacked for speaking at a union meeting and taking too strong a line with management! The response of some of the higher up officials in the union - the T&G - and at union HQ has been woefully inadequate, especially when it becomes clear that after initially sanctioning the strike of the airport officers as legal and official, they later turned around and repudiated the action opening the way for management reprisals.

Gordon McNeil, one of the sacked shop stewards, spoke to Socialist Appeal.

Socialist Appeal: Why were you and your workmates sacked?

Gordon McNeil: We were out fighting a trade dispute for extra money, but the management, I believe, have a hidden agenda. They want to get rid of the two shop stewards - i.e. myself and my other colleague Madam Gupta. The others who've been sacked have all been heavily involved in union activity, they have been very strong when in forcefully voicing our opinion to management. I think the underlying agenda here was to remove the strong people from the security of employment. Therefore, the management have embarked on a litany of abuse against the staff. Clearly their aim is to remove the strong people so that they can crush the rest.

SA: What are the issues surrounding the strike and how exactly did it come about?

G McN: The strike came about following a massive 97% majority in a postal ballot for strike action. We had been involved in pay talks with this company since November 1, 2001. We have had problems with our regional officer within the union, Mr Joe McCusker. We had been in touch with Mr McCusker who asked us to suspend our action on Wednesday May 8 until Tuesday May 14 pending discussions via the LRA to resolve the dispute. We entered these talks on the understanding that it was to be a meaningful dialogue with the company - but the company basically laughed in our face; they were not serious about making offers of money. We then sought advice from the union on Monday May 13 to resume our action from Tuesday May 14 because it was the named time and date, and we'd already gone through the full process of serving it on the company. The union told us to just go ahead, we engaged in action on Tuesday morning, and on Wednesday morning we had a repudiation notice served on us by our regional officer, Joe McCusker. We felt very angry that we had been told that we were fully entitled to engage in a strike because it was perfectly lawful and legal, and then for the union to go ahead and repudiate it left us wide open. This is why the company jumped on the back of this repudiation to dismiss us. We have subsequently taken advice on this and the union have now stated that the advice we were given on Monday was indeed that it was official action, and also that on Tuesday afternoon they had even told the company that it was official. But they still seem to be adopting the position, as we speak, that it was an unofficial strike action, even though they now admit the advice they gave at the gates on the Monday.

SA: Are you unhappy then with the role the union has played in both the action to begin with and their response to the sackings?

G McN: Yes I am, I must say I am quite angry. A union is a body of people, and the ordinary members and lay activists on the street are not the ones I am angry at. I am angry at some of the regional organisers, and the director of the legal services of the union, Fergus Whittey. We have had quite poor representation till now, but one thing that has really galled me, and I would like people to reflect on this, is the fact that the management has been able to use this situation to further their own ends, and that they are really very despicable in this whole situation. Take the communication between our National Secretary Tim Lyle, who is the civil aviation officer for the union, on Wednesday of last week with Ben Lewis who is the company secretary of ICTS about the sacking of the 24 officers. Tim Lyle stated that Ben Lewis laughed at him down the phone. Mr Lyle said: "Do you think that's funny that you have sacked 24 workers?" Mr Lewis replied that he thought it was hilarious that he had ruined 24 lives. Naturally there is great anger amongst the staff particularly those who have been sacked, but also among the staff still there in the airport.

SA: What support have you had?

G McN: The support we have had has been outstanding. We are planning on upping our campaign and we just require as much support as possible, even if it is just a signature, it all goes to show that we have support. That the public are not going to stand back and let a company, especially a company that are so adamant that they can rule the workforce, get away with it. Therefore, we think that it is an abuse not only upon ourselves but it is an abuse on all people who dare to speak out in the workplace to further the rights of workers.

SA: Is the mood and morale of the activists is high?

G McN: Very strong, we are obviously very angry, but we are also resolute that we will not be beaten down. I will not have my voice silenced because I am only speaking out for basic rights for these workers. At the end of the day the whole dispute was over a 30p per hour pay rise which would have taken us up to &#65533;5.50. We are on &#65533;5.20 at the moment, no sickness benefit, and no overtime rate. When we see an airport porter - and I am not being derogatory towards porters here - on a substantially higher wage than ourselves, with full sickness benefit for 6 months a year, and they get overtime on double rates. I think there has to be a correlation brought into the job we do in relation with other workers in the airport, and therefore we will have our say and we will not be beaten down by this management or any management.

SA: What do you see as the way forward specifically for your dispute? What can trade unionists in Britain and Ireland do to help your dispute?

G McN: The first thing would be the monetary aspect, finances. Twenty four officers are now sitting on social security benefits - some of them don't even get that. We would need financial support to pay the bills and to build this campaign which we intend to run against this company. I would ask people in their workplace to raise their concerns with their regional officers, and to write to Mr Morris of the T&GWU.

The headquarters of the company in London are Devonshire House ICTS UK Ltd, I would ask people in London to make representations there and to send letters and demand answers to why these officers here, who do a fantastic job. We protect the lives of the travelling public regardless of their race, colour or creed, have been treated in this despicable manner. It is not particularly nice for a security officer to have to go through peoples personal belongings or get physical with people and search their bodies, but we do it in order to secure passenger safety. We ask the public across Britain to show support for us to organise and demonstrate on our behalf, and not let this company be seen as a successful union buster. The company has behaved disgracefully towards their employees

Thank you to every single person out there who has shown support, and a great thanks for those who will show support in the future. We will do all we can over here to fight our cause. At the end of the day this is an attack on all workers who dare to challenge management on the conditions in their workplace. So this is an attack not just on one sector but an attack on all, because it is me today but it could quite easily be you tomorrow.

Eugene McGlone, sacked Irish T&G official told Socialist Appeal that he had met some of the sacked workers and that "it is disgraceful that nothing has been done about this. Not just words of support but action is needed. The union must stand up for its members, for workers and their families. The campaign for our reinstatement [the campaign to reinstate Mick O'Reilly and Eugene McGlone] gives its 100 percent backing to the sacked airport workers and would appeal to trade unionists everywhere to offer their support."

Where's the Postman when you need someone to confirm or disconfirm such things:
Stephen L. Friedman and Menachem Atzmon: partners in Likud money-laundering, with implications in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

A Philadelphia lawyer, Friedman was the general counsel in the United States for the Likud party of Israel from 1984 (or, officially, 1988) to 1999. Friedman is a close friend of the Netanyahu family; he grew up in Wyncote, Pennsylvania, around the corner from Benjamin and his father Benzion Netanyahu, the senior aide to avowed fascist Vladimir Jabotinsky.

Up until his 1996 conviction, Atzmon was president of the Israel Development Fund (IDF), a U.S. tax-exempt foundation funneling money illegally to the Likud. IDF is one entity in a cluster of such false-front Likud money spigots, all run by Philadelphia attorney Steven L. Friedman, a partner in the Dilworth, Paxson firm.

Friedman has overseen the Likud's U.S. fundraising since 1984, when he began arranging Netanyahu's broadcasts and meetings with American leaders. Netanyahu first met Mervyn Adelson at that time, and brought him into his inner circle along with Friedman and Ron Lauder. Friedman is a key leader of the Republican Jewish Coalition, founded and run by Detroit Purple Gang mobster Max Fisher, a longtime chairman of dope-running United Fruit. The Coalition finances and corrupts the U.S. Republican Party.

Friedman created a network of tax-exempt U.S. organizations tied to Likud. The first entity, Israel Development Fund (IDF), began in 1989. According to Internal Revenue Service tax records, IDF gave money directly to the Likud, directly countering the purpose of the U.S. tex exemption laws.

In The Jewish Week for Feb. 19, 1999, reporter Lawrence Cohler-Esses wrote: "Several former Netanyahu cronies say the Israel Development Fund, which over six years raised about &#036;1.5 million, was of indirect help to Netanyahu. Another source claims that the fund helped finance Netanyahu's jaunts to the U.S. The fund did allocate several grants to youth programs, as it was originally set up to do; but only about half of its expenditures were for such programs. According to the fund's tax reports, it granted &#036;16,000 to 'Lichud'—evidently a distortion of Likud. Other donations include &#036;9,000 to "Shood Harabanim"—apparently a mutation of the name "Ichud Harabanim," a group of West Bank rabbis who have called on Israeli soldiers to refuse to obey orders if the Israel Defense Forces redeploy in the West Bank; &#036;13,000 to the settlers' journal Nekuda; another &#036;13,000 to 'Gagner Aliyah,' a contortion of "Gesher Aliyah"—a charitable organization supervised by Avigdor Lieberman, former director-general of the Prime Minister's bureau, a body later subjected to criminal investigation.

Cohler-Esses obtained a list of IDF donors from 1989 through 1992, which included "[Irving] Moskowitz; New York businessman Joseph Mermelstein; Reuben Mattus, the late founder of Haagen Dazs ice cream, and his widow, Rose; and Manfred Lehmann, the late philanthropist and right-wing activist who defended Dr. Baruch Goldstein's murder of 29 Palestinians in Hebron in 1994.... In 1995 [tax reports] ... Moskowitz's foundation [was reported as giving] 5,000 to IDF and 5,000 to the Likud party through Friedman. When questioned about this, Friedman, in the only brief interview he agreed to, said the listing of the political donation to Likud was 'a mistake.' Soon after the interview, Friedman filed an amendment to his Justice Department filing stating that the 1995 Moskowitz donation to Likud was, in fact, to the charity IDF."

Menachem Atzmon resigned as president of Friedman's IDF following his 1996 conviction for Israeli election campaign finance fraud. But his later U.S. activities would prove to be much more disturbing.

Atzmon and his business partner Ezra Harel are the majority owners (57%) of ICTS—International Consultants on Targeted Security, run by "former [Israeli] military commanding officers and veterans of government intelligence and security agencies" according its Web site. In 1999, Atzmon's Netherlands-based firm took over management of security at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, through ICTS' subsidiary Huntleigh USA.

This convicted Likud criminal's firm was in charge of security at Logan Airport—inspecting the validity of passports and visas, searching cargo, screening passengers—when two airliners were hijacked from there on Sept. 11, 2001, and demolished the World Trade Center towers in New York.

Is it possible that Steven L. Friedman's exalted position in U.S. and Israeli politics lent influence to help accomplish this seemingly difficult task?—vetting a man with Atzmon's past as the principal figure in security at Logan, and other American and European airports as well. (Atzmon's firm also advises the U.S. and other governments on airport security.)
