You have everything you need for a substantial full beard. Just give it 3-4 months to grow with the absolute minimum of trimming, and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Welcome to the board... you have substantial coverage and also some areas still in development.  As you grow to 13 weeks, you will see some of the lighter coverage areas get more beard and beyond that it should fill in pretty good.  Grow it all to 3 months and see what you have to work with.

You've got a great foundation, with a little patience and no trimming you will eventually have some pretty strong facial hair!. You can totally do it!

Thanks man. In terms of the no trimming does this include going to a barber just to get the neckline all cleaned up, and given shape to make it more presentable in the meantime?

It's fine to have a barber trim your neckline but you must tell him where to put it.  As far as trimming other parts of the beard, I advise against it because quite often a barber will trim too much and more skin will be exposed afterwards.

How’s it going guys so have let it grow for another 2 weeks, I’d say this is probably around 7 or 8 weeks roughly now? Should I be concerned about the patch bits on my chin and also the non connecting moustache?

Cheers

Don't be concerned about patchiness at this point... they are going to fill in and/or get covered by surrounding hair.  As to connections to stache... probably not going to happen soon so get used to it... you don't need a completed adult beard with full coverage at your age.

You're doing just fine given your age and growing time. Just keep it coming. Maybe your beard is a little slower growing than some and you might need a bit more than 13 weeks. But you definitely have a full beard on the way. As has already been said, don't worry about any gaps, they will fill in or grow over. How do you feel about your progress? And what reaction are you getting from family and friends?

No ones really said much surprisingly. In terms of how I feel I like how it looks from the front but side on the patches to the side of the chin look a bit odd.

That's interesting... I'm almost thinking the opposite.

Your sides are really quite adequate and getting better on each update.  Don't expect your sides to be complete for another year or two.

Accept what you have and put aside any notions of the beard you think you must have at this age.  That is key to success which you can have on this journey if you let it.

Hey guys 10 week update, starting to like how it looks with a few areas such as the moustache starting to fill in a lot more and the hair darkening a bit.

Way to see your beard... improving by the week and your brain is starting to warm up to your beardedness.  You will soon fully accept it.

Looking good. This is going to be a very large full beard. I might have expected the sides to be a bit better covered by now, but it's making progress so just keep growing. Some beards take a bit longer that's all.

Yeah one side coverage wise I find better then the other, would have liked more side growth but it’s still growing at least. Chin growth also a little slow as well

Your sides have improved and your beard is getting heavy.  Keep a watch on the bulk coming on in the undercarriage toward the neck.  That is going to give you a heavy beard toward the back and when the heavy part is toward the front [goatee], it's a bit younger but still very manly look.
