Here's it drydudealwayssad wrote:i think it shows a bit darker but you need to take pics when your beard is dry and not wet it will show better the difference and the thickness
Thanks! I do have a question though, as I'm going to get it trimmed tomorrow. You said:jasjes wrote:Yes... your stache has become noticeable with the dye... you could even go darker, imo.
Are you giving any more thought to a slight trim just below those headphones? I really think your beard would look better with some trim in the back while leaving the front untouched to grow longer.
You have a very unique look with your hairstyle and I just think an intentional beard look below that would give you a real eye catcher look... you have a lot of good choices and I just think you don't realize the potential you have just yet. Grow on and you will see what I mean by the comments you get from others.
The undercarriage are those hairs growing under your face and between the jaws. That hair does nothing but hang down and a tapered undercarriage means that the hairs are kept long at the goatee but get shorter and shorter as they go toward the neck.Aleczunder wrote:
What is the undercarriage? And also i don't have any hairs growing below my neckline so I'm not sure about that either. Maybe a visual would help me, I'm just not sure
I'm thinking i like it pretty good...... It feels good and has a little more of an intentional look. Your guys' impressions?jasjes wrote:The undercarriage are those hairs growing under your face and between the jaws. Your neckline may be high enough. In pictures 1 & 2 of your first post, it seems that the hairs are on the neck but that could just be length of hairs from the jaw.
You'd best have a picture of a Spade beard on your phone when you go to the barber. Ask if he knows a Spade style and if so to give his definition. If it doesn't match my definition, show him the picture. Don't forget to get some of the bulk and poofing trimmed in the sideburn area down to the jaw.
Give us pictures after your trim and say how you feel about it.
Hey, just passed 6 months not too long ago. Here are some pics to update. Its getting really long now..... I definitely don't look 17 anymorejasjes wrote:You've come a long way in a short time... you have a much more intentional look now and your stache has become a lot more noticeable. When you do things like this, your mental progress takes a leap forward and it's the reason you said what you said
. Be patient and let your beard evolve to the goal you have in mind... along the way, you will fully accept your beardedness and that changes everything
.
You could let your stache get darker by adding to the time you leave the dye in... increase the time by 30 seconds on each future application until the stache becomes just a bit darker than the chin hair.
Just so we can see how magnificent your beard look has become, show us side views straight on. Then, beard on.
Hey, you too, dude! It feels pretty good honestly. My mustache could come in a bit thicker but i definitely have time for that to come inGrimers wrote:Woah, nice update dude! I don't understand how you're 17! You look more like 27! You have an awesome adult man's full beard! Have you received any comments? How are you feeling about being bearded! Keep growing and beard on!
How old are you if you don't mind?Grimers wrote:Thanks, dude! Yes I agree with you about the stache, mine's really come on in the past few weeks!

That is the hope. Once i hit the yeard I'm hoping to just keep it trim at that length but we'll see. I'm hoping to wow my family this Christmas, none of them know about my beardjasjes wrote:Those guys working along with you are going wonder what a guy in his 30s is doing at college. Anyway, you seem to be taking the longer beard in stride... beards do make you feel older and yours should make you feel a lot older. Do you have any idea what your beard will look like when you reach the yeard? Will it be twice as long?
