Right hand light stopped working. No 12v.
Was working ok.....
Other side working ok.
All fuses good.
When checking out wiring I found a harness..3 wires..
Going up inside the pillar back right hand side...just squashed in beside back door hinge. Connected to nothing.
Any ideas what its for ?
Mine is not a van so the wiring can be different.
Reverse lights wires are 2283 and 2227 both are white. From the switch on the gearbox the wire goes in the harness to the back where the wire splits/spliced on - one to the right and one to the left. As the left light works then look at the wiring to the right light if there is no V then it is likely the split is broken or the wire is broken. If the connection is bad at the back of the cluster then no V could show. Did you make sure you had a good earth when checking with a multimeter? On old vehicles it is better to take a wire from the multimeter negative to the battery negative to ensure there is return/earth.
Don't know about the 3 wires. Wiring has colour and numbers. Lots of posts re' brake/reverse wiring.
SEARCH magnifying glass top rhs of page - used to be good until the recent change to tapatalk.
You need to show which vehicle you have - eg 35C12.
There used to be a signature where vehicle info' can be added and shown on each of your posts.
