Question about the I Spy book

Hello all--
I've been advised that the Cushman/LaRosa I Spy book is a goldmine of information. Currently it costs about $40 in venues I'm familiar with such as Amazon. It's more on Ebay. I'm wondering if anyone knows of another source that would be cheaper. I don't care if it's used as long as it's in decent condition.
Also, I heard that an update may be coming next year. I'm not eager to buy it at this price if a new edition is coming out. Does anyone have any firm info on that?
Thanks to anyone who can advise.
Karen

I would definitely recommend waiting. Marc tells us the expanded edition will be out early next year, clocking in around 750 pages and containing additional photos courtesy of Tatia Loring. Many of the typos and factual errors in the original will be cleaned up, thanks to a certain modest copy editor who slaved over every page to get it right, though her extensive notes were not incorporated until now.

750 pages, wow! It sounds worth the wait--although I'll still be on the lookout for an inexpensive copy of the first ed. I'm an impatient soul.

And, B-L, I extend my hand in the secret copyeditor handshake.
