Dungeons . . .

The pokey. The slammer. The hoosegow. The lockup. The clink. The jug. No matter what name you call it by, our heroes seem to spend an inordinate amount of time behind bars.

How many of these places of detention can you identify?

Herbie has escaped, but Aunt Helen is still incarcerated. Somebody help her get out of there!

Oh yeah, Smartypants? If it's so easy, where's the answer?

heeelllp!! heeeeeeeeelllllppp!!!!

I thought D was dead easy, and now I haven't got a clue.

I've been avoiding C because I secretly fear it may be from an episode about some amusing Danny-person that I really ought to know better, but I just don't remember that scene. And now I'm starting to think (always dangerous): did Kelly take a trip to the hoosegow after the first round of firecrackers in Cup of Kindness? Clearly I need to break out the DVDs...

As I run through the possibilities I must remark upon the many non-penitential locales in which my nephew and his friend Scott Alexander have found themselves incarcerated. A subject for a future quiz?

Somebody slip her a file!

If by "non-penitential locales" you mean locked rooms, yes, there will definitely be quizzes devoted to such in the future. Actually, a few of these could qualify too.

And rest assured, Aunt Helen, that you won't appear in this series . . . at least not behind bars. I've used that wonderful photo of you in your green hat so many times that I decided to retire it.
