Rte 122 from 16.04.2018 (TT 8.1):
> Monday to Friday: first buses from Ashington 5 mins earlier, the f-10 peak in the morning lasts shorter and transforms into an f-15 peak, afternoon peak reduced from f-10 to f-12. Overall 4 departures less from Ashington and 6 less from Drimnagh Road.

Hopefully this frequency reduction will at least mean an increased running time. Both the 122/123 are farcical between 8:30-10:30am every weekday. Every day there are cancellations and diversions to catch up due to them running late. There's always a few 122s skipping Drimnagh and starting at South Circular Road or just completely cancelled instead.

You'd think that instead of a frequency reduction there would be an increase with all this 'expansion' DB keep blabbering on about.

The frequency that the likes of the 122 and the 83 have really baffles me, they only ever have a handful of passengers even at peak times, you'd never see them full to the doors like other routes. The 83 of a Sunday is a farce, way too frequent, buses often come in pairs as they catch up on each other. When you see the likes of the 4 with a frequency of 60 minutes of a Sunday and the 83 every 20 minutes it really makes no sense.

Agree completely with you there AX479 - a decrease in frequency for both is a positive step. Neither need the frequency they have, and reducing it saves money and frees up resources.

The 4 is one that should have f-20 on Sundays at least.
