There's talk that Dundalk are to loose VE5 and VE10 (and VE6 whenever it comes back) and to be replaced with 1 more SE and 2 LE's. However if they get LE's that will put pressure on LE1-4 on the Belfast route as Stranorlar will not be parting with their LE5-8.

Galway based VE15 is currently off service following a fire on Monday 09th July 2018. I have seen pictures of it and there is not too much damage and I expect it to be back on the road in a few months. List updated to reflect this.

List updated, SP100 has moved from Broadstone to Dundalk. Not replacing anything, just an extra bus for Dundalk.

They chose this over LC4.

Cork are going to receive:

VWL177 to VWL183
VWD26 to VWD29 (I'd imagine 30 but told 29).
VWD58, VWD59
VWD86 to VWD90.

Replaced (sort of) by the new VWD400 types, 13 of which will be to Galway and 12 to Limerick so exciting times ahead.

Very interesting there.

So Galway lose 6 double decks and receive 13 new double decks.

Limerick lose 7 single decks and 5 double decks in a straight swap for 12 new double decks.

Very good news but it does botch up the numbering sequence!

I think VWD30 should go with 26-29 it wouldnt make sense just having 30 here and then you would have 54-57 tbh i am very surprised 58 & 59 are going aswel

I've posted this comment in both "Fleet Allocation" threads.

Great news for Galway and Limerick albeit that the numbering allocations will be all over the place.

As I see it,
* - Galway transfer 6 VWDs to Cork and receive 13 new VWDs
* - Limerick transfer 7 VWLs and 5 VWDs to Cork and these are a straight swap for 12       new VWDs
* - Cork gain 11 VWDs and 7 VWLs

So from the Limerick point of view, I would imagine that the 301 will convert to VWDs and the 302 and 304A will be fully converted to VWDs. They could try them on the 303 as well I suppose but not after 19.00!

If Cork could be given VWD30 and VWD50 to VWD59 as their 11 VWDs, then they would have a continuous sequence from VWD30 to VWD75.

And of course we still don't know about the Waterford fleet that will be displaced under the new contract though I would imagine that the 4 VWDs may well stay on the 360 as that route is not included.

Birds are chirping about a PVR increase on the Galway city services, details unknown to me.
