In this thread I'll be sharing pictures of rare allocations of buses on routes they usually don't show up on. Please feel free to share any rare allocations of buses you may have. Thought it'd be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to pictures of buses appearing on a rare route allocation.

The first photo is of AV386 on route 1, on Tuesday the 10th of January 2018. AV's and AX's used to be a regular sight on route 1, until the 172 SG's arrived in Ringsend, which saw SG's 208-216 shift from the 15 to the 1. VT34 is seen on the 145, also.

11th September 2017

DT10 on the 239!!

I was told by a mate of mine that DT10 was on the 239 so I quickly got the 76 (AV412) to Liffey Vally to get the 18:30 Witch was DT10,It was 10 mins late but that made the driver quick so I enjoyed that,I never would think that a DT would ever come onto one of my favorite routes, and even more rare that the hardest to find DT was the one I got,I really enjoyed my trip on it,DT6 and 9 went on it after that day a few weeks later,Here is DT10 Finishing a 239 And about to do the 19:30 Departure to Liffey Valley And would Then go OOS back to Harristown from there,It’s seen here on a gorgeous September evening,4 months before the DTs bowed out of Service....

This isn't extremely rare but here's AX471 on the 15 3/1/18. Excuse the poor pic... I was on AV386 on the 15B when I took it.

Back in the days this wasn't really rare but since Clontarf only had one AV in service at the time I took this pic it is an impressive allocation. AV417 - 32 3/1/18 3:10pm ex CC.

An SG on the 17 back in 2016 even up to now it’s not something you see every day....

Sorry for the poor pic

I really dislike the display on the 17. The lack of 'via x' and the larger text just doesn't look good.

I think it's the only destination in the network that doesn't have a second line. I think they could've put "Rialto via Dundrum" for the Sunday services to keep consistency, but that isn't to say that I dislike the format of the current one, as odd as it looks.

Does the 185 still just say "Palermo" on the front?
