So with my original kit on a very slow boat somewhere between China and here, I've jumped in at the last minute with this little fella picked up in Marks. I couldn't let a Sci Fi group build happen without doing something!

What's in the box..

Nice engraved detail. A little simple in places but can't argue for the price

Will be a super fast build to get this done in time!

Off and running with this one - all the parts primed with Halfords Grey primer for plastic.

So a bit more done with this little fella. Boba's ship is heavily weathered so I tried out some Maskol for the first time, dabbed on with some kitchen scouring sponge

Once the Maskol was fully dry, then two coats of Matt Sky (upper fuselage) and Brick Red (lower). Doing it in sub-assemblies made this easier.

Then started peeling off the Maskol using some White Tac which gives it great grip..

Just press-fitted to show the effect..The other colour on the upper surface is Medium Green.

I saw on another build how the builder used a thinned shade of the base colour to make the chipping less stark so tried my best to do that..think it worked out ok!

Will start assembling tonight then gloss coat for decals and wash.

Looking good. Funnily enough figuring out how to do scruffy well can be fun, I really enjoyed my ARC-170 and my extremely muddy MK IV

Good call on the thinned original colour to tone it down.
I'd also map in some bits of the original colour in the larger chips.
Looks great dude!

Almost there...just some small decals to add & then a Matt Coat and the canopy.

Will scratch up some kind of base for the Nationals.
