Aviation Fair

The annual Aviation Fair is coming up next month, on Sunday September 30th in the Carlton Hotel near Dublin Airport.  Times are from 10 am till 5 pm.  (The Fair used to be held towards the end of November, but is now under new management - our friend Diarmuid Byrne of Weir Park Books (who is also a regular trader at our Nationals) - and the time has been brought forward.  The venue remains the same.

As has been the case for many years, IPMS Ireland will be taking a table at the Fair, to show off our work, and to publicise the Irish Nationals, which are being held the following weekend.

If any members would like to exhibit models (naturally, aircraft predominantly, given the likely audience), let me know, please, that you are able to come.  We have a large table to fill.

Alternatively, if you cannot come along, but would be willing to showcase some of your kits, bring them along to the Dublin Chapter meeting on September 22nd, and I will bring them to the show for you, and return them to you at the Nationals.

Details of the Aviation Fair can be found here:-

Hi Philip,

The event is for a good cause too I believe?

Myself and Jnr if available would like to help man the table and display some kits.

Will confirm closer to the time?

Cheers
Glen

On the bench:
1/35 Revell Dingo GE A3.3 PatSi (mine protected APC)
1/16 Trumpeter T-72B1 with Kontakt ERA
1/35 AML-30 prototype
1/35 Djibouti BTR-60 with AML-90 turret
1/72 S-Models BMD w/scratch slat armour.
And about 100 other part built kits... ;)

Thanks Glen

Some of those excellent dioramas by Glen Jnr - as well as some of your own creations - would be most welcome. No need to spend the time though, as I will be there for the duration (as I have been since 2009).

We can chat at the next Dublin Chapter meeting to make arrangements for your displays.

Appreciate it!

Cheers,

Philip

Likewise here Philip, myself and one of the boys would be there on the table & display some kits.

Could I also confirm nearer the time?

Thanks,
Dermot

That's great Dermot - a display of the younger members would be very apt.

You can let me know at the Dublin Chapter meeting a week before, if that suits?

Hi Philip

Hope to be there for 10am with Jnr, we'll bring our kits to display. We can come a little earlier if you need a hand to set up?

We'll be over again Sunday afternoon after Glen visit's his grandparents and plays his rugby match, and can collect everything then and help you pack up?

Cheers

Glen
