THE TRUTH BEHIND THE FALL OF OHIO'S MOST PROMISING INDY WRESTLINGPROMOTION.

APRIL 16, 2005, New Lexington Ohio.....The NWA Brand was purchased from Richard Arpin by David Nelson and a new company was formed which made alot of other indy guys pretty upset as these NWA shows were drawing crowds from 800 to 3000 fans.

David Nelson invested his time and money to build something many workers would benefit from, the NWA Ohio shows were brodcasted on Network Television primetime in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland. The cost to air these shows cost founder David Nelson $32.850.00 for a 3 month run on NBC Television.

A huge show that topped any indy card in and around Ohio was set for the last of April 2005, this show sold 2500 tickets in 2 weeks and included such names as Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Chris Sabin, Petie Williams, Doink The Clown, and the reunion of Billy Gunn and Road Dogg since leaving the WWF and first appearance in the ring together as THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS. The show included many Wrestling favorites, Legends, and new comers along with the TNA Wrestling Female locker room which brought Trinity, Tracy Brooks and O.D.B.

NWA Ohio was becomming a place people wanted to be so people were coming from all over the United States to try out, and we were receiving video after video of workers showing us their stuff. Jason Static, as well as other workers who has since worked for the WWE all performed inside the ring for NWA Ohio.

In May of 2005 NWA Ohio became 3WA Wrestling and the old NWA Banner was taken down and folded with respect. The hopes of something big was in the mix as Hacksaw Jim Duggan was helping David Nelson get this company off the ground.

But mayhem was soon to follow as Hacksaw was offered a contract with WWE and decided to go where the bigger money and chance for national coverage was. This was the beginning to other local Ohio Wrestlers feeling they had been mislead or lied to. The 3WA had been working on a spot with ESPN Television which was soon yanked after bad publication hit the Internet and people began calling and e-mailing ESPN saying things to them that would ruin our shot at any deal in the makes. Also 3WA was planning a Military show in Iraq and that also was lost after losing our main Wrestling Legend that the show was being built around.

Many workers print lies on indy message boards in Ohio and continue to spread lies about Dave Nelson and 3WA within the area of Columbus Ohio. Even though all these guys sat in the bleachers in Circleville Ohio and heard this Wrestling Legend admit to being part owner and helping Dave Nelson make it grow and after standing in the ring and giving out contracts beside Dave Nelson and telling the guys he is their leader. He leaves the 3WA and Dave Nelson to deal with the fallout.

As many of the indy guys know the pay for working indy shows can range from zero to just a few bucks. But almost every wrestler to step in a 3WA ring got paid above what they are being paid from other indy promoters. There were a few beginners who worked for free as their skills were weak and the experiance is what they were being paid.

At this time I want to announce to the world the true people who helped destroy 3WA with their lies and who continue blamming founder Dave Nelson for this when they need to look in the mirror for the real cause. Their time with 3WA allowed them to hang out with Wrestling Legends they would never of had the chance to meet unless they bought a ticket and it gave them a new chance at something better, but they destroyed it.

The following people are partially to blame for the downfall of 3WA in Ohio.

Justin Kidd, Mr. Gregg The Judge, Wildman Manson, Scott Powers, Chance Prophet, The Legend who broke his word and printed lies on his web site, CPA Mike Matheny, J Rife, and all the Zanesville Ohio Back Yarders we allowed inside our ring.

On another not I want to thank the following for standing beside us and keeping us alive and well here in Florida as our shows run strong. Flying Paul Harley, Dusty, T.C. Reynolds, Demolition AX Bill Eady, Honky Tonk Man, Sid, Billy Gunn, Jessie James, Greg The Hammer Valentine, Robert Gibson, and all our Florida and Georgia workers that has kept 3WA alive and well for the past 5 years.

Probably the biggest loss to the 3WA was Scott Powers, this young man was paid very well by Promoter David Nelson, also made good money helping train new workers in Ohio. David Nelson got Scott a live TNA match with the Wanderer which Scott could never have gotten on his own, Scott stepped in the ring with Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Demolition AX, and several TNA stars plus hung out back stage with Abyss and others and was given a trip to Florida paid for by the man Scott slanders, and even paid a nice paycheck to go to Florida for the Dark Match. So yes of all the workers in Ohio it hurt the most to have someone I trusted and called friend and paid above everyone stab me and 3WA in the back.

The story can go on and on but needless to say it ended in Ohio and the 3WA became disfunctional and less then 6 months later was restarted in Orlando Florida doing 3 shows a month all over Florida and Georgia. We keep a low profile except in the areas we run and we promote our shows on television and all sources of media as well always did up north. We here at 3WA are happy with the product we have and do not expect to grow any larger as we make our main Goal to be the best Indy show you will ever see. And that is all we plan on doing is being a Indy Company that knows how to bring in names you the fans want to see.

really? REALLY? "Real Stories" need to have facts published, not the damage control this is an attempt at. Since I know you read this site, Dave, respond to my email AND take my name off your site. I did in-ring work AND your advertisements/dvd covers/posters for the ppv that never happened. If you want to run again, by all means, run your shows in Florida. Best advice for you to take is to stop publishing anything having to do with your Ohio run, because I, for one know what really went down.

Have a super day!

the pictures on this page with Sid Vicious http://www.3wawrestlingofflorida.com/florida-shows.php), yeah those with Aaron Draven and Lonestar, those are from SCW in Nashville, TN. NOT 3WA. Omega, Juggz, JD, and I worked for Rob Hochman there, so I find it pretty funny that these "Florida shows" took place in the Nashville Fairgrounds.

I love how it goes from being a 3rd person point of view story to at the end a 1st person account. Also for a company that runs all over Florida and Georgia 3 times a month there is not one mention of upcoming or past shows on their website except for the failed Ohio stuff. Super funny!

```````a very entertaining read i must say.
````````the wrestlers got to hang out with wrestling legends? thats what made 3wa so great?dont people get made fun of for stuff like this?

The following people are partially to blame for the downfall of 3WA in Ohio.

````````````now the only 2 i know of here are powers and prophet. both who are very nice guys and both who i have never heard a bad thing about untill now. so who should we believe? easy answer.
Probably the biggest loss to the 3WA was Scott Powers, this young man was paid very well by Promoter David Nelson, also made good money helping train new workers in Ohio.
David Nelson got Scott a live TNA match with the Wanderer which Scott could never have gotten on his own, Scott stepped in the ring with Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Demolition AX, and several TNA stars plus hung out back stage with Abyss and others and was given a trip to Florida paid for by the man Scott slanders, and even paid a nice paycheck to go to Florida for the Dark Match. `````so scott suposedly got paid for doing his job? your supposed to pay people to do their job, you shouldnt get a pat on the back for doing what your supossed to do. chris rock has a good act on this whole subject.i know scoott has wrestled many legends before this.
many people get tryout matches. its not like he was signed, and if he worked for you at the time, you cant really say you were doing it for just scott now can you?
The story can go on and on but needless to say it ended in Ohio and the 3WA became disfunctional and less then 6 months later was restarted in Orlando Florida doing 3 shows a month all over Florida and Georgia. ````````i guess a very low profile, since nobody has heard of this untill now.
As Chance said, the pictures were from a show at the Fairgrounds in Nashville in 2005. Dave Nelson was there that night "scouting talent". But he had zero to do with the show other than driving up in his mark ass pickup truck with NWA bumper stickers plastered all over it.
The only reason I reply is because I actually got to talk to Duggan himself about 3WA at a show last year. (Contrary to what you posted about us never being on shows with names like you brought in, I've been on shows with pretty much every name you listed elsewhere but I digress.) Duggan did the show and had an appearance at a night club here so we got to hang out and talk a bit. I tried to rib him and shake his hand and tell him he still owed me money. He looked angry so I just said "Remember 3WA & Dave Nelson?" and laughed. He was totally puzzled. I explained who Dave Nelson was and he said all he ever did was say what Dave told him to say or do, just like any other promoter he's worked for. He also denied having any actual power in the company.
3WA was what it was. An indy promotion that had Chance do up flyers claiming they had Goldberg, Bret Hart, Hogan, Trish Stratus (WWE's current Women's Champion at the time) and countless others involved. It was a fraud. Some of us got paid decent. There were some really talented workers involved. But there were also some terrible yarders. And fat guys. Lots of old fat guys. Regardless of how unrealistic it was, he still dangled that carrot of fame and fortune to a lot of hard working people. I just don't get what kind of person can do that and live with themselves.
I love that on the website, when it says that "Dusty" is coming to 3WA, it's a picture of that fat piece of crap Bubba, AKA Yuri, the Russian Nightmare. Who looks like a cracked-out, poor man's Dusty Rhodes. If you were almost blind in both eyes mind you.
