Matt! I'm impressed! I worried it would be too difficult for what I think of as a South Idaho crowd, except of course for Splattski, who I think of as a more Central Idaho fellow.

Have you lived in North Idaho? I thought rock climbers from there, would look at the "beached-whale" summit of Roothaan, see my mention of technical climbing gear, & know the quickest access to Chimney Rock is over the NW shoulder of Roothaan.

Here I am, the summer of 1974, on Roothaan, with Chimney Rock in the background.
