fast browser has hijacked my computer. I'm not an IT person, but i have tried, everything i know, and everything the company says and i can't get rid of it. I don't even know how i got it. It can't be uninstalled from the control panel, unlike every other program i know. I can see it, but can't do anything. You guys have anything i can try? thx

I recommend going back to a previous restore point if some kind of malware has installed itself. Here is article about how to do that:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

Beware of those pesky Facebook apps.... leave them alone. Here's a fix I found for IE:

Using Internet Explorer:

Open "tools" in the menu bar
Click "Manage Add-ons
Vista users click "enable or disable add-ons"
Click "Fast Browser Search" and disable it.

Now go to your control panel.
Vista users click "Uninstall a program"
XP users click "Add or remove program"

You should now be able to select the "Fast Browser search protection", and uninstall it.

Restart your computer.

Now go back to control panel, and uninstall "Fast Browser Search (MyTattoo)"

In case you haven't figured it out, it's the "MyTattoo" application from facebook that started all this mess.
