Hey Guys
Semi-bizarre question:

Have any of you ever been involved in summiting a peak for a cause (raising money for cancer, etc.........i.e. if you summit, we will donate X amount of $ toward cause)??

Do people do this sort of thing?

I have read John's Celebration of Life stories on his blog and like the motivation behind these hikes!!

Any thoughts????

I climbed Mt. Rainier after raising money for Big City Mountaineers. A program that helps intercity kids get out into the wilderness. It was great and I would do it again if I had the time.

A cause that provokes thought or a cause that raises cash-money? I personally think of someone I lost to cancer every time I click into my skis. Every experience I have is a tribute to living life that someone can't. We are all energy and every positive experience we have adds to the grid! Even John himself is thought provoking in the sense that I ALWAYS put on sunscreen. Make sure to check outhttp://www.ultimatethrivingmachine.com/home for more information on prevention of cancer for yourself, as well.

I respect people raising money for a cause. I also think that things on a smaller scale can be just as important.
