In our yard in Westminster, S.C.
The wife hates snakes and this pair took their time slithering through. They stopped to rest in our garden.

They are both about 3' long

Black coach whips? Common water snakes or Cotton Mouths?
As much as I am in the woods on my deer lease I have not see too many snakes. I think the feral hogs keep them thined out.

As soon as your posting hit the ether, and showed up here on this computer, my wife started screaming. I have assured her they can't come out of the monitor here, and I have her somewhat calmed down now, no need for EMT or 911.

Hurry up so you can do it again!

Interestingly enough, I rescued one about 5 - 5 1/2 feet long jaycrawling across the road about an hour ago. Took him in the woods and let him go. I don't think these guys fully recognize what a car can do to them!

they would travel together. Snakes are solitary animals, except when they are......ohhhhhhhhhhh......well, never mind! I am sure the babies will be well mannered!!!!

I remember when my daughter was in first grade or something...she turned around to look at the TV at the exact moment when the big Anaconda from the movie of the same name struck out at something, filling the entire screen with a big snake face and fangs..

you want to hear screaming???

the "rat" snakes are called that for a reason!

They kill vermin.

My dad use to leave black snakes alone if they lived in the barn, they took care of the cattle feed, etc where mice and rats went.

Cats were the same way, but they earned their keep.

They won't hurt anything
