The F-15As used for the initial testings with the ASAT missiles
was very modified but I think it was an F-15A anyway, cockpit,
radar, engines, feathers.

What had to be extensevely done were wiring the systems to launch
the new missiles and gyroscopic systems, even the HUD had new functions
for the launching.
