Nope.. Not at that price anyway. I got a couple of cheapy sets at the Harbor Freight for like $10 a pop... That was 10 years ago...

I got a set at cost from a local HS as a friend that works there highly recommended them. For close work they provide excellent magnification and unparalleled clarity...but I find them awkward as they must be flipped up to return to normal viewing. I find myself preferring my half lens readers where I can look down for magnification and up for normal. If I were a figure painter I would probably use them more.

I'm quite happy w/ my five yr old Optis using the #8 and #10 lenses. Have been using them for 20-30% of my close up detail modelling/painting. Great for wood splinters too.

I took the plunge and ordered a set. I used the survey discount code Tamiya USA is offering now. 25% off was good enough for me!
