Tamiya 1/48th He-219.....

I've read that the Tamiya He-219's engine nacelles are 1/4" too long aft of the wing. I can't figure out a way to shorten them up without it looking weird. Does anyone make a conversion/correction to this anomoly? tia

Maybe it was on this site, but when Tamiya first released this kit back in '97 or '98, that was one of the biggest criticisms of it.

article from Hyperscale archives. 3,5mm is about 1/7" (I'm not sure about how right this sounds, but 1" is about 25,4mm so you can calculate it yourself)

Good to know but would I spend money on resin to fix it? Not in a million years. If it really bothered me I'd probably just sand the tip down a couple mm and reshape it to match.

... a former hyperscaler of I understand Franco-Canadian ascent got fired and banished. I seem to remember it was based on some pictures which certainly seemed to show something in the line of his sayings. But my memory is dim.
