Where was this held, Jim?

I'm not a kit builder. I'm a styrene butcher.

Hi Chris

This was our club IPMS Edmonton's (Edmonton Alberta Canada) bi-annual model contest that was held yesterday. There are some pictures from the show at the IPMS Edmonton Facebook page.

Cheers

Where in Edmonton? I'm up in Fort Mac. I would not have been able to be in the city, as my wife was there this weekend and someone had to stay home with the cat. Maybe next year.

Hi Chris

We held it at a gym in a recreation centre near Kingsway Mall. Next year the show is in Nanton at the Bomber Command museum as we swap years with the Calgary club. We did have a vendor from Fort Mac come down.

Cheers

Ooh! Nanton is a bit far. Maybe I'll wait a couple years. Edmonton's easy. A vendor from here! I wonder who that is? I've only ever met one guy up here with a model kit interest and he ran a small hobby shop until the municipality made him and others vacate the building for development of the property that never happened.

That was John Rybak from Formations Models (Sherman resin goodies). Chris I don't know if you're an aircraft only guy, but there's a fall show, the Capital City AMPS show is on Sep.8th; it's armour, sci-fi and military figures.

Nanton is worth the trip. You’d get to see a real Lancaster with all four engines running.
