Good morning all!
On Sunday, 15 April, there will be a large event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the RAF at the Udvar-Hazy Center in Dulles, Virginia. I have volunteered to coordinate a display of scale models reflecting the RAF's history from it's inception through the modern day, and I'm extending an invitation to any and all modelers in the greater DC/VA/MD/PA/WV area to bring your RAF models and display them at the museum for the day! There will be officials from the Royal Air Force on hand as well as a fair number of airworthy aircraft, including the Canadian Warplane Heritage's Lancaster.
If you are interested in participating, please drop me a line direct at lritger at yahoo dot com, as I need to know the following:
- your name
- number of models you're bringing
- scale/description of said models (for table space planning purposes)
I'll have a small batch of RAF stuff myself, and hope we can get a fair number of models on display... and not just Spitfires, we need Stirlings and Hampdens and Bothas and Buccaneers and O/400s and Hawks and all the rest!
