Hi All!
I have several ICM P-51B/C Mustangs and I am tired of doing USAAF schemes for the Mustangs. So does anybody know of and where I can look for non-silver unusual or foreign P-51B/C aircraft?

Thanks!

I saw an article a few days ago that I did not have time to read. The headline talked about the last war fought between 2 countries with all propeller drive aircraft. Mustangs vs Corsairs. Anyway, the photo on the article showed a cool P-51 with a 2-tone green camo. Maybe that could be a good one for you.

The B series Mustang was also operated by No 3 Squadron RAAF in Italy in 1944. They operated both B and Ds . The aircraft were camouflaged and had a bright blue tail .

There are photos of several machines taken at Fano Italy in November 1944 in Stuart Wilsons book on the Spitfire, Mustang and Kittyhawk ... page 106.

Hope this is of some help.

There was a blue one in the 1948 and 1949 Bendix races, and one named Beguine that was black or dark blue with music painted down the side. N1202 preserved at Dulles is red.

I photographed the N1202 that Bob mentioned during my last trip to the other coast. Unfortunately I did not do the usual "walkaround" and only have the markings on this one side... I'm sure there is plenty of documentation available to show if there were differences on the other side of the plane.
