Especially the paint job. Care to share any tips or techniques on that?

Nice!!
The exterior is painted with 2 to 3 coats of automotive urethanes from spray cans mixed by a local supplier. Red first and allowed to cure for a day, then masked and sprayed with the Charcoal metallic, let cure for an hour or so then unmasked and Cleared. Cleared with 3 coats of Tamiya TS-13 clear about 15 minutes apart and allowed to dry for a week or so. Then rubbed out with 3M Rubbing compound to get the worst stuff and a final polish with 3M Finesse-It II. Interior and the top cover are the Red without a clear coat followed by a mix of Polly Scale grey and Future hand brushed. Detail painted and foiled.

Really like using the automotive urethanes as they are almost impossible to make run.

The older issue, such as this one didn't have the dash decals in them. The more recent issue (2010?) does. Revell created a whole new set of decals for the 55 Chevy series when they did the hardtop body.
