I have been following your projects with a lot of interest. I worked in manufacturing at Rockwell in the 1980s on the B-1B. I was at both Columbus and Palmdale. My crew built the forward intermediate fuselage in Columbus and the avionics and fuel tank section just aft of the cockpit in Palmdale.

We always saw the B-1s in the yellow primers. The inside of the fuel tanks were dark green and the avionics and weapons bays were gloss white.

I got to see B-1A ship #4 fly at Edwards. It was different than the previous three since it didn’t have the escape pod. The B-1s were loud! The only one to top that was “the wake the dead” SR-71. Naturally we all loved the sound of freedom.

I appreciate your real modeling skills here. No sniveling about fatal flaws, you are really getting it done. I never worked on the B-1A but always liked the white ones with the nose test boom.

I’m really looking foreword to seeing it done. Great work.
