I got into a discussion about the good Captain today and the subject of the loss of the Calypso came up. I had heard that there was an effort underway to restore her. Does anyone know her current circumstances??

Then JC died and the 'family' got involved w/ everything JC and there were a bunch of false starts to restore her. I think she's in dry dock in France, and has been for many yrs. Family, lawyers, in-laws, biz partners, etc, etc, perhaps even the French tax man are involved, so it may take many more yrs. But she's not gone, prob just slowly rusting and waiting for things to be settled in the courts.

I've seen photos of her in a drydock, supposedly being restored. But, I too have heard that she had sunk. Don't know which is the truth.
