A sad occasion but fitting end to a versatile helicopter long service and dedication by its sqaudron members.

In the past few yeare I have built five different versions in 1/32 scale. Yep 1/32.

California Steve This one even made it into a couple of publications. Los Angeles County Sheriff and still in use today. This a outdoor pic of the model. Sea King.

What kit, please? I know there is a larger pre-built Sea King, but it is between 1/48 and 1/32 ... somewhere around 1/40, I thought.

I think that this the biggest sleeper. It is the New Ray Sky Pilot almost built "model". They say it is 1/40 but it really measures closer to 1/35. I have had more fun with these. They cost about $10 bucks on line. Just buy one. The cockpit is very well detailed. Now this thing is a screw together. The side door is held in with hot knife kind of tabs that can be cut off and the door can be mounted to slide. (ask me later on this). I have motorized a few with the Tamiya gearbox kit #70103-660 (ask me later about this also) Here is a US NAVY model with LEDs. I don't know where you are with your modeling skills but for the price I really thing this (kit) goes unoticed. Here is a pic. Steve. NAVY
