I'm finishing up a couple of 350th subs, and I'm looking to use the kit supplied decals for flying the flags. my question is how do you guys go about making them look like they have a natural "drape" to them instead of sticking straight out and stiff? Not sure if you just use the decal straight like you normally would or if its better to mount first to some kind of foil?
Any insights or tips on this would be greatly appreciated. I've seen it on others work, however, I'm a bit of a ship "newbie" so not sure how to proceed.
my email is: email@example.com. TIA!

FWIW, it's not too tough
I always apply the decal flag to very thin aluminum foil. Once the flag sets, bend and cut to shape. You will need to do some touch painting on the edges of the foil, but you can bend it any way you want.
